Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Geaux Green website and not to any external sites being linked to from this site. The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions runs the Geaux Green website, owns and manages all Make an Impact websites, and is the sole controller of all Make an Impact data.

Carbon Calculator Policy

Participation in the Make an Impact Carbon Calculator service is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose any personal information (e.g. your email address). Use of other Make an Impact resources and services does not require participation in the Carbon Calculator service. In order to use the Carbon Calculator on our website, you must first create a user name and password. During registration, you will need to supply contact information (such as name and email address, and area of residence). We use this information to customize and enhance your Make an Impact Carbon Calculator experience. Make an Impact shares anonymous statistics with our program partners – but this information is not personally identifiable. In other words, we will never share your name or email address with a program partner unless you have opted into a contest, promotion, or special events list.

Email Communications Policy

You may choose to use our referral services to tell a friend about our site. Make an Impact will not share your friend’s information with any other party. However, we may send your friend an email inviting him or her to visit the site, at which point he or she may opt out of future communications. You can contact the Make an Impact team through the Contact Us form, by opting into our newsletter mailing list, or by registering for the carbon calculator. In all cases, you have the ability to opt out of any future communications from the Make an Impact program.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.
